MC, composer and businessman, IG is from Vila Medeiros, North Zone of São Paulo. Igor or Guilherme – a question that is left to the fans -, the artist has an extremely close relationship with his neighborhood, a place where he cherishes and praises in his songs.Even as a boy and before becoming an MC, IG was already selling his compositions to other artists. As a singer, the HIT that boosted his career was “3 dias virado”, a song released two years ago that has more than 300 million views on YouTube and exceeds 100 million streams.
Over the last 2 years, Mc Ig has established himself as one of the main artists on the national urban scene, reaching more than 100 million streams on each of his latest albums, “OQIGAP?” and “NTP!”. Today the artist has a strong representation through his powerful lyrics and elaborate melodies.
Aware of his role as a black man, artist, entrepreneur and peripheral, IG places himself in the music market as an exponent of these manifestations and seeks to work on the self-esteem of young people from the periphery in his songs and defends the power of conquest for black and peripheral people.
